Role Description The Lapping and Polishing Tech is a full-time, on-site role based in San Jose, CA. This position will be second shift (Noon to 8pm) is responsible for operating lapping and polishing equipment to finish parts to specified dimensions, surface quality, and flatness requirements. Day-to-day tasks include setting up machines, selecting appropriate abrasives and fixtures, loading and unloading parts, and monitoring processes to maintain consistent quality. The role also involves performing in-process inspections using gauges and measurement tools, documenting results, and adjusting parameters as needed to meet customer and internal specifications. The technician is expected to follow safety procedures, maintain a clean work area, support preventive maintenance of equipment, and collaborate with supervisors and quality personnel to resolve process or quality issues.
